Financial Literacy (RIC)

Financial Literacy will increase your awareness of spending habits, create a realistic budget and learn more about your credit.  Learn how to eliminate debt and understand good and bad debt.  The true cost of credit and how to consolidate your debt to save money.  To determine your starting point for creating a future free of credit card debt.
You will learn more about retirement planning and what you can do today to prepare. You will gain a greater understanding of your credit score and your credit report. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify: What is Credit? Your Credit Score and Your Credit Picture Activity. Budget and develop a debt reduction plan. Understand and create a realistic budget.  Bank and manage a checking account. Obtain and understand your credit report. Build your credit. Have the tools to plan for retirement. Know how much money will be needed to retire.
