Last-Minute Halloween Costume Ideas
October 26, 2022It’s the same old story every year. You promise yourself that this year will be different – you’ll put time and effort into the greatest Halloween look – and then next thing you know, it’s three days before Halloween and you’re at stake of being the dud without a costume at the party.
While Goodwill can’t help you cope with your procrastination, we can definitely help you put together a creative last-minute costume to save you from ridicule at the costume party.
The following ideas are quick and simple Halloween looks built with items easily found at your local Goodwill.
Raining Cats and Dogs
All you need for this simple look is a rain jacket, rain boots, an umbrella and a few stuffed dogs and cats with strings! If you’re missing any of those items in your closet, shop the racks at your local Goodwill.
Hawaiian Punch
Such an easy idea with a pun! Pick up a Hawaiian shirt and hat with boxing gloves when roaming the aisles of your local Goodwill.
Throwback/Decade Theme
Throw it back this Halloween with a costume from almost any decade. Goodwill consistently receives vintage donations that would be perfect for a decade-themed costume from the 1920s to the 2000s.
Stranger Things: Sam
Welcome to the Upside Down! This is sure to be a popular costume this year with the recent release of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season Four. Easily find 1980 pieces to create the perfect “Sam” look with high-waisted mom shorts, high socks, a striped colorful shirt and a vintage cassette player.
