The Goodwill Academy™ of Virginia model is comprised of programs that support on-the-job paid training. Clients often come to Goodwill in need of an immediate pay check and don’t have the resources to take free development classes available during times that interfere with their jobs. The need to earn income while learning often traps people in a cycle of low-paying jobs and makes it difficult to advance to a higher income.
Goodwill Academy focuses on the basic skills needed to get and keep a job – with any employer or as an entrepreneur. The Goodwill Academy of Virginia model provides a solution to each individuals immediate needs (income) while also providing structured opportunities to progress within or beyond our organization.
