Individuals interested in completing their court-ordered community service hours with Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia must meet the following criteria:
- Offender must be referred for Community Service (such as a court referral, parole officer, probation office, etc.).
- Must have reliable transportation to one of the three Goodwill locations where hours can be completed:
- 6301 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond VA 23225
- 1911 Saville Row, Hampton, VA 23666
- 5457 Greenwich Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23456
- Must be able to complete physical labor (“desk jobs” are not available).
If all of the above qualifications are met, interested individuals MUST complete the following:
- Community Service Work Request Form
- NOTE: The following two items must be completed and attached to this request form. You will not be considered if these documents are not completed and attached.
- Background Report Release Form (completed by the applicant)
- Community Service Worker Agreement (completed by the referring organization if applicable)
Steps:
- Complete the two forms and save/scan.
- Complete the Community Service Worker Request online form and attach the two completed forms.
- Once your Community Service Worker Request online form has been submitted, the information will be sent to the Goodwill of Central & Coastal Virginia CSW Coordinator.
- If all attachments are submitted and completed correctly, a background check will be run to verify eligibility for working at one of our locations. (Goodwill is unable to accommodate offenders with violent, sexual or larceny offenses.)
- Once the background check comes back, the CSW Coordinator will contact the applicant to inform of eligibility. If eligible, then the CSW Coordinator will let the applicant know if a position is available.
