Individuals interested in completing their court-ordered community service hours with Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia must meet the following criteria:

  • Offender must be referred for Community Service (such as a court referral, parole officer, probation office, etc.).
  • Must have reliable transportation to one of the three Goodwill locations where hours can be completed:

    • 5457 Greenwich Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23456
  • Must be able to complete physical labor (“desk jobs” are not available).

If all of the above qualifications are met, interested individuals MUST complete the following:

Steps:

  1. Complete the two forms and save/scan.
  2. Complete the Community Service Worker Request online form and attach the two completed forms.
  3. Once your Community Service Worker Request online form has been submitted, the information will be sent to the Goodwill of Central & Coastal Virginia CSW Coordinator.
  4. If all attachments are submitted and completed correctly, a background check will be run to verify eligibility for working at one of our locations. (Goodwill is unable to accommodate offenders with violent, sexual or larceny offenses.)
  5. Once the background check comes back, the CSW Coordinator will contact the applicant to inform of eligibility. If eligible, then the CSW Coordinator will let the applicant  know if a position is available.
