OPERATIONS UPDATE – WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS FOR SATURDAY, JANUARY 31 and SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2026
Situation Summary (FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2026, 5:00PM)
Another winter system will approach our territory in the next 24 hours, with the potential for accumulating snow, high winds and coastal flooding. Our coastal region will experience the greatest impact from this storm system, though central Virginia could experience some accumulating snowfall on top of existing icy conditions which could make for dangerous travel, especially after dark. Anticipated start times for any precipitation is mid-to-late afternoon.
As a result of these conditions, and with the safety of our associates, donors, and shoppers in mind, we have made the following operational decisions for Saturday, January 31st AND Sunday, February 1st.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 31st:

All business services (contract) operations should check with their site supervisor for impacts to their schedules.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2026

All business services (contract) operations should check with their site supervisor for impacts to their schedules.
