The Goodwill Academy™ Experience
Curriculum within Goodwill Academy is geared toward the foundational skills needed to be successful in any job with any company.
- Each participant in the Academy is assigned a job coach to identify goals and coordinate their ongoing development. Each student in the Academy works with their coach to create a clear, well-communicated development plan and receives paid learning hours (on-the-job and classroom).
- Outside of the classroom, learning opportunities include job shadowing and internships in every area of the organization.
- Each year, our Goodwill has 3 million unique face-to-face encounters with customers and donors. This affords students in the Academy an unparalleled opportunity to put training into practice and learn.
- In addition to our mission being integrated into every position and everything we do, we are also a sustainable company that diverts 30 million pounds of material from local landfills annually and repurposes used goods in the most environmentally way possible – reuse.
