Goodwill Appoints New Board and Advisory Board Members
April 16, 2018Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia appointed Dave Modena and Jim Theobald to its Board of Directors, and appointed John Ivins to its Advisory Board.
Modena is Vice President of Merchandising of firstSTREET, Inc., a Virginia-based, national direct marketing company for innovative senior-friendly products. He brings much retail industry and business development experience to Goodwill from previous work experience at Ukrop’s Supermarkets and Best Products. Modena holds a B.S. degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
Theobald is the Chairman of Hirschler Fleischer, a Richmond-based, multispecialty law firm, where he specializes in real estate. Theobald is a member of the Richmond Bar Association, American Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, Home Building Association of Richmond, Richmond Real Estate Group, and served as Fellow for the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. In addition to providing pro bono legal assistance, he has served on the boards of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Venture Richmond. Theobald earned a B.A. from the College of William and Mary and a J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Ivins is an attorney and Vice President of Hirschler Fleischer. Prior to joining the firm, John served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Virginia. He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Virginia State Bar and Virginia Bar Association. He has also served on the boards of directors for Crossover Healthcare Ministry, Leadership Metro Richmond, Science Museum of Virginia Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western Virginia. Ivins earned a B.A. degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where he is an adjunct professor. Ivins’ late wife, Kathy Ivins, served on Goodwill’s Board of Directors and also chaired the Board.
In addition, David Nelms, Tom Kleine and Scott Sims completed their Board service terms and now continue to serve Goodwill through the Advisory Board.
