Jordan joined Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia in September 2021 as Chief Community Officer. In this role, she serves as the strategic community engagement officer of the organization with the primary focus of establishing and cultivating relationships with jurisdictions, community leaders, non-profit agencies and other outside organizations to build awareness of Goodwill’s mission and develop strong, collaborative partnerships.
Prior to joining Goodwill, Jordan spent 15 years working in government and government relations in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she held the title of Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, where she ran the Office of Legislation and Congressional Affairs and was a senior advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Education. She also previously served as Government Relations Director for Virginia529, the nation’s largest College Savings Plan, Senate Legislative Affairs Manager for the National Federation of Independent Business, and Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Senator and Representative.
In her spare time, Jordan enjoys running, watching college basketball (Go Hoos!), and volunteering in her community. In 2017, she was a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Virginia Woman of the Year fundraising competition for blood cancer research. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Virginia and resides in her home city of Chesapeake, Virginia, with her husband, Andy, and their son, Crawford.
