Goodwill’s work adjustment training program helps individuals develop realistic vocational goals while teaching basic work skills in a role that best suits their needs.

Goodwill’s Work Adjustment Training program is a one to three-month career pathway designed for individuals who have difficulty obtaining or maintaining employment. This program helps develop realistic vocational goals while teaching basic work skills.

Emphasis is placed on building physical stamina, emotional tolerance and overall work behavior associated with entering or re-entering competitive employment or a supportive work environment.

Goodwill’s Employment Specialists also provide coaching sessions that address a variety of soft skills, including:

  • Appropriate work attire
  • Employer expectations
  • Interviewing skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills

Upon successful program completion, individuals may be referred for occupational training or competitive job placement.
