The Great Pumpkin Patch at Kings Dominion

h1Kings Dominion offers family friendly events on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Great Pumpkin Fest includes delightful surprises hiding around every corner, from a petting zoo to a pumpkin painting patch. It’s trick or treat, with just the treats!

When: Saturday and Sunday from Sept 26th – October 31st from Noon until 5:00pm

Night at the Living Museum

h2It’s a howling good time in the Virginia Living Museum’s Abbitt Planetarium with this frightfully awesome mix of terror-ific tunes! Wild and weird laser images accompany songs from Black Sabbath, Garbage, The Who and so many more! Come enjoy this laser spook-tacular – great Halloween fun!

Halloween on Ice at the Richmond Coliseum

h3Hosted by two-time Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan, Halloween on Ice is a frightfully good time on ice for the whole family!  In 2015 Halloween on Ice returns with a 15 city North American tour featuring some of the most well-known skaters in recent history performing live and in costume to Halloween-themed music.

Pirate Halloween Party

Eerie Nights Ghost Tours of Richmond

Historic All Hallows Eve at Blandford Cemetery

h7The City of Petersburg Department of Museums and Visitor Services will sponsor the annual “Historic All Hallows Eve” event at Blandford Cemetery, October 31, from 6:00 p.m. until the final tour at 8:40 p.m. The focus of the evening’s hour-long guided walking tours will be the history of the cemetery and the accounts of some of the City’s most interesting permanent residents. Due to the 150th commemoration of the Petersburg Campaign, the tours will include the stories of local Civil War soldiers and civilians. The tours will also include the lives of Revolutionary War soldier Erasmus Gill, Victorian women Mary Logan and Nora Davidson, and War of 1812 soldier Captain Richard McRae.

Haunted Halloween Festival

Haunted Ship

Olde Towne Portsmouth Ghost Walk

h10Based upon the popular Jack-The-Ripper walks in London, guides take visitors on a walk past the haunted houses and mansions of Olde Towne. Costumed actors tell the legends of ghostly visitation and things that go bump in the night.
